I am also involved in showing my beautiful cats all over the UK:  the secret of enjoying the cat shows is to treat it as a social day out, where you meet many friends, and hopefully also do well with your cat.   Whatever the judge’s decision on your cat – remember you always take the best cat home.   Not all my cats are pedigree, click here to meet Foggy the Moggy.....

Getting involved in the Cat Fancy can be very rewarding.  I am currently Chairperson of the Semi Long Hair Cat Association, and on the Show Committee of the Wyvern Cat Club.   Occasionally I help at shows, by stewarding for a vet or sometimes, judging in the Non- Pedigree Section.

I have bred Birmans for 28 years and Maine Coons for 16 years.  I also bred Bengal's for 3 years, but, with impending retirement I reluctantly decided to concentrate on my first two breeds.   As a nurse and midwife, I get great satisfaction from delivering kittens, rearing them and eventually, seeing them go on to happy loving homes.

I mainly breed Chocolate and Lilac Point Birmans, (note my colour coded web site!) but I do sometimes carry out matings that produce the odd seal, blue and tortie kittens.   My Maine Coon breeding programme produces all tabby kittens, in a wide variety of colours.  If you haven't already worked it out, my breeding prefix is of course 'Birman' spelt backwards!
